The
National Clergy Council's boycott of Target Retail stores is only a week old,
but already a number of organizations from across the country have responded in
support of our actions. Here is a list of corporations and organizations who are
helping the Salvation Army get through their eviction from Target. The
following organizations are supporting the Target boycott: 1.
Joy Junction - New Mexico's largest homeless shelter 2. American Family Association 3.
Concerned Women of America 4.Culture Family Insitute 5. Vote Life America 6.
Illinois Family Insititue 7. Republican Young Professionals 8. The Christian
Defense Coalition These companies are now allowing
the Salvation Army to bell-ring in front of their stores because of Target's ban.
They previously had not supported the SA: 1. Big Lots 2. Kroger
Supermarkets 3. Michaels Craft stores 4. Autozone 5. Mervyns - (Mervyns
was previously owned by Target and became an independent retailer in September) 6.
Coinstar - (the Coinstar change machines now allow you to make a contribution
to the SA when counting your change) These stores
are donating extra monies to the Salvation Army to help replace for the revenue
lost from Target store fronts: -Campbell's Soup has made an extra
$1 million dollar contribution to help the SA this year. -Walmart will match
all donations this year to the Salvation Army up to one million dollars. And
this just in... Americas Research Group Org. states that last
weekend, Target was the only retailer reporting FEWER customers than the week

rights group Equality Illinois admits to pressuring Target to ban the Salvation
Army. Since Target ejected the Salvation Army, a number of reports have surfaced
regarding Target submitting to pressure put on by gay-rights activists. This article
