Washington,DC-March 31, 2005-10:30 AM. IMMEDIATE.

Dr. Paul Schenck, Pastoral Associate with Priests for Life and Director of the National Pro-Life Action Center on Capitol Hill has responded to death of Terri Schiavo.

“Terri's death is an ominous development-an act of state directed euthanasia-no different than Kevorkian in a robe.”

Schenck and his twin brother, Rev. Rob Schenck, worked behind the scenes with lawmakers and litigators to try to save Terri from the starvation death ordered by the Florida courts.

“We're profoundly disappointed at the failure of our governmental officials to stop this terrible miscarriage of justice. Our prayers are with her family in their bitter loss.”
Schenck said.

Schenck added he will continue to work for policies safeguarding incapacitated persons.

Rev Paul Schenck is available for interviews at 202-546-8329 ex 102.
