By Rev. Rob Schenck

President, The National Clergy Council

Here at the National Clergy Council, each New Year is a new opportunity to refocus prayer, set new goals and redirect existing resources. We’re doing all of this right now. During this year’s Winter Conference, I’ll unveil the National Clergy Council“Master Plan” for 2005. I hope you’ll be here January 22-24 to join us in prayer, thanksgiving, learning and absorbing what God intends for us as we seek His will for our Nation. There’s still plenty of time to register!

Here’s a little of what you’ll experience at Winter Conference 2005:

- Fun and Fellowship! Winter Conference is a rare opportunity for Paul and me and our families to enjoy casual time with you—our extended ministry family. This year we have carefully scheduled “down time” so we can talk, pray and share a meal together. And as far as fun—you’re going to meet some really fun people. You’ll also see Bernie Reese, our venerable constitutional lawyer of more than 50 years experience, As you’ve never seen him before when he emcees our afternoon welcome reception. I’ve told Bernie that had he chosen another profession, he would have ended up with his own late-night variety show!

- Challenging Ministry in Word and Deed! Paul and I will share with you messages the Lord has placed on our hearts that will challenge all of us. My preaching professor in Bible college used to say, “You preach best when you preach to yourself and let others eavesdrop! That’s exactly what we’ll be doing. But, you’ll hear others, too, including only the 62nd preacher to serve as chaplain to the United States Senate, Dr. Barry C. Black.

- Stirring Testimony! The man who has become our angel on Capitol Hill will share his testimony of going from Saul to St. Paul! This will be his first public testimony of his new faith in Christ! Please be sure to be here to see the answer to your prayers for the salvation of key people in Washington, D.C. Please note: Because of the sensitivities and possible consequences for people in his kind of high office publicly identifying themselves as Christians, this special moment will not be taped.

- Lots and lots of information! You will hear things during Winter Conference that no one else—not even our own NCC family members—will hear at any other time in any other place. There are some things that are just for the “immediate family” to know and could hurt the ministry if it traveled. So, if you’d like to have the real scoop on what’s been going on, as well as what’s going to go on in 2005, be here at Winter Conference!

- Real ministry! If you’ve been with us before at Winter Conference, you know we don’t just talk about doing ministry on Capitol Hill, we actually do it together while you’re here. Our main ministry feature is the National Memorial for the Pre-born—the only complete, Bible-centered worship service held inside the U.S. Capitol complex!

And there’s much, much more! While at Winter Conference, you’ll learn about the two books that Paul and I will author this year, a special outreach ministry project that YOU can have a direct part in; the unfolding drama in the Islamic Kingdom of Morocco; and, the biggest announcement of all: Our next Ministry Center (with a distinct purpose) that will soon open just one door away from our present National Clergy Council Ministry Center!

As you can see, there are all kinds of reasons to come to Winter Conference. Paul and I hope and pray that you, your family, pastor or pastoral staff representative will sacrifice the time and money to be here with us for this, our Tenth Anniversary Year! Click here now to register!
